GIFTING SUNDAY: Gifting Sunday is on Dec 20th. Today you are invited to take a card from the tree in the porch and donate a small gift (approx $5) to be given to a parishioner who is a shut -in or rest home resident. Relevant details are on the card. Please return the gift with card attached on Gifting Sunday, Dec 20. Thank you very much.
CATHOLIC WOMEN’S LEAGUE: will host residents of Mission Rest Home and senior parish members to the RSA for morning tea on Thursday 10th December at 10.30am. Members assistance would be appreciated.

ADVENT MULTI-CULTURAL LITURGY: will be held on Friday 11 Dec at 7pm at St Joseph’s Church.
OUR LADY HELP OF CHRISTIANS: is holding another 24hr vigil of prayer, contemplation and adoration of the Eucharist starting on 11th Dec. There will be a sign up sheet in the church porch for those who would like to take part. For more information contact Agnes 769 9630 or Moragh 758 6365
CHRISTMAS MUSIC: Anyone who would like to help lead the singing, or play an instrument at our Christmas vigil mass on Christmas Eve, is invited to a practise next Sunday morning 13th at 9.30am in the church. We will practise again the following Sunday morning before mass. Everyone welcome!
FR NIMO’S FAGALOA CHURCH REBUILDING FUND: Thank you all who contributed to this worthy cause. $654 was collected and will be remitted to Fr Nimo in the next few days. This is a great response to a parish less fortunate that we are. Thanks to Alena Sofeni for initiating this collection

TSB ASCOT COMMUNITY HOUSE: is a warm, friendly venue where older adults of New Plymouth meet one day a week for companionship, entertainment, outings and social interaction. The Tainui Village provides staff, transport and meals. Members are transported from and to their own homes. The service is well supported by a team of volunteers. Open 50 weeks a year. ARE YOU INTERESTED IN SOCIAL JUSTICE: We are getting together on Sunday 6 Dec at 6.30pm after the 5.30pm Mass to hear Lisa Beech from Caritas speak, and have a pot-luck tea in the St Joseph’s Parish Hall. All are welcome.
PIVOT: is a young adults catholic group that gets together to chill out in friendship and food! We will be getting together again on Sunday 13 December at the Christmas in the Park at the Bowl of Brooklands. We welcome any young adults 18 - 30 who would like to join us.
