PARISH COUNCIL MEMBERSHIP:  Following on from Fr Tom's announcement a few weeks ago, the Parish Council, together with Finance & Administration met with Fr Tom on his return from holiday. For those who were not here last Sunday, minutes of this meeting, together with nomination forms will be in the porch after Mass for those interested.

OUR LADY HELP OF CHRISTIANS:  will be holding a 12hr vigil of prayer and adoration every Friday from after 9.30am Mass until 9.30pm.  

CARING SUNDAY:  Sunday 18 July.  A day for Catholics across NZ to offer support to the caring ministries in their local area such as Catholic Social Services, prison and hospital chaplaincies.  It is the day that the Church in NZ asks you to help individuals, families and communities facing difficult circumstances.

REFLECTION PROGRAMME:  The weekly discussion group will be starting again on Thursday evenings, 7.30-8.30pm in the school library.  New members are welcome.  For more information see Ashleigh Fromont in the church porch after Mass or ph 7579953.  Starting date to follow.

FAITHFULNESS OF PRIESTS PODCAST:  Theologian and author Brendan Roberts conducts a down-to earth interview of Monsignor Bernard Kiely regarding his experience as a priest. Mons. Kiely shares that we are all called to be life-giving to the world and explores some of the challenges and tremendous blessings of the priesthood.  He also explores the call of celibacy and how it also relates to unmarried laity. THE MASS IN SLOW MOTION:  The Shaun Hurley Memorial Seminars.  The fourth evening seminar is scheduled for Wed 4th August from 5.30pm to 9pm in St Joseph’s Church.  The topics are Communion and Being Sent Forth.

JOSEPHITE RETREAT CENTRE:   Compassionate Conversations Part 2 – Saturday 24 July 10am – 3pm.
