THANK YOU!!: A big thanks to all those who gave their time willingly to help with The Warehouse stock take. Thanks to your combined efforts, we managed to raise a total of $13181.25, which is an awesome result. It was a very successful weekend; not only in terms of the dollars raised, but also in the community spirit we felt working together across parishes for a common cause. We did such a great job that we will probably be given the opportunity again next year.
ST VINCENT DE PAUL: Any good quality used clothing you have to spare would be most welcome at the St Vincent de Paul Opportunity Shop in the Fitzroy shopping arcade, New Plymouth. Our stocks are running low and if we are to continue to provide the services funded through the shop, your support is essential. The shop would be most grateful for any donations of summer or winter clothing. Any inquiries can be made to 75-86740.

SCHOOL NEWS: The children and staff at St Pius are very busy at the moment preparing for our Production. Ii is entitled “A Night In The Library”. We invite you to come along to one of our shows and see the children’s talents on display. Our performances are at St Philomena’s Church and we thank the parishioners for allowing us to use the Church. Tickets go on sale this Wednesday and are available at the school office for a cost of $5 (preschoolers free).. Performances are on Tues 30th June: 1pm and 7pm and Wed 1st July: 7pm. We look forward to entertaining you.
At the beginning of July the Ministry of Education requires predictions of school enrolments for 2010 to enable them to allot staffing entitlements. If you have a preschooler due to begin at St Pius X during the remainder of this year or in 2010 please contact the school office as soon as possible to ensure we have their details on our records. We do have a small number of vacancies, so if you know anyone who is thinking about St Pius as a school for their children ask them to ring for an appointment to meet with me.
Kind Regards, Trish Walsh, Principal
