First Aid

This year we have had an exciting start with two new teachers Miss Stacey Williams and Mr Jeff Cocker. Stacey is replacing Ms Trish Walsh who has 32 weeks study leave to complete her education degree.

We also have our new classrooms so now we have five classrooms for 2008. This is excellent for class numbers.

At the beginning of the school year all the staff renewed their First Aid certificates as this is a requirement when taking children for trips outside the school.

We are all working on "How can we improve our school environment?" in our Inquiry Learning.

Children have looked around the school and discussed areas of concern and are now looking outside our school for ideas. Some classrooms have been investigating and graphing types of rubbish at their homes. These learnings will have an actual impact on their lives.

In February we had our new building blessed by Father Earl and we are delighted to have our school looking so great. It is appreciated by staff and students.

All classes have visited the Art Gallery as we continue to support such an excellent amenity in the town. The lessons develop an appreciation for art and artists and the children get the opportunity to experiment with a variety of media.

This year we have had two cricket teams and we are now getting out winter sports teams ready.

We had great fun on our two Happy Hour sessions with a gigantic water slide provided by the DÂ’Aths and an Easter Egg Hunt.
